The Boat

Tonight we went to vote and took Sophie and Luca. Sophie asked where the boat was? I told her we came to vote not go on a boat. Vote--boat, it does sound alike. We got to the polling place and it was packed to the max and somehow Sophie spotted the vending machine from across the cafeteria and was soothe during the voting with a bag of pretzels.

Then we came home and Sergio and I were talking about Clinton and Obama and Sophie asked if they were in a tie. I said, Sophie, do you know what a tie is? She said yes, it's when you take two people and tie them together with a rope.

It's funny to see the world from Sophie's 2 1/2 year old eyes.
