Luca turns 4

Luca has been talking about his birthday pretty much all year and today was finally the day. We started out opening presents, which Luca had to take outside, set on the small table and re enact opening them on the patio, just like his birthday party.

One of Luca's favorite present was his tent, which came with a vintage sheet with clips and a flash light. Luca is very into camping and spent much of the morning carrying his bear canvas chair in his bag and packing his little things in the basement and then outside.





Sergio was off to work by 8 and I spent much of the morning blowing up Luca's other present, the swimming pool. This photo was taken later in the day and only shows half of the pool. Really it's not a big pool, just a water area and a slide, but it took me an 1 and 1/2 to fill up with air. After holding the pump and listening to the loud blowing sound, I forgot about the camera.




The evening was capped off with rides at City Park. For some strange reason, Luca adopted Sophie's straw hat and wore it everywhere.











Luca is such a sweet child and we had a great day together!
