We wrote messages to "Papa" on a few balloons and watch them fly into the sky (sorry, Brooke, not very environmentally PC.) Sophie and Luca were most excited about the birthday cake, candles, singing happy birthday and then, even Annie was waiting for the best part, eating the cake. The excitement and love Sophie showed about celebrating Papa's birthday made this day easier to get through.
A belated happy birthday to my father-in-law Manuel who's birthday was on the 17th, but which Sergio always thinks is the 19th, El dia de San Jose.
