Father-Daughter Dance

The YMCA put on a Father-Daughter dance and Sergio took Sophie last night. I don't know who had more fun. Sophie picking out a dress, getting ready and talking about dancing with Gracie. Or me, going shopping with my mom and helping Sophie pick out a dress, getting her ready and watching her excitement as she talked about the big dance.

Sergio was on call, but arranged coverage so he could take her. I think he had a good time hanging out with his buddy Fred and their daughter Gracie at the dance.

Pueblo is such a small town. While we were looking at dresses, there was another girl, 10 or so, with her dad shopping for dresses too. It was really sweet. Upon seeing Luca, he told us his son, who is now 15, has hearing aides too and has a moderate-to-severe hearing loss.. His son actually takes a bus every day up to the Deaf and Blind School in Colorado Springs. Small world.

What a sweet event! Also, how cool that you ran into another family with a child who wears hearing aids. We've run into a few families up in Buffalo, but it is a very rare event!
