Luca is now entering the terrible twos, which I guess it's better now than when the baby comes, but it's still hard. As Sophie told her papi last night, "Luca was throwing a tantrum all day long." Although not entirely true, sometimes it feels it. Luca doesn't want to get out of his crib in the morning b/c he doesn't want his diaper changed. After a half an hour, though, how good can it be that a little boy sit in poop. He still hides under his blankets, though. Luca throws a tantrum basically whenever he doesn't get something he wants or he wants to do by himself. Luca now thinks he can put on his jacket by himself, get cheese out of the fridge whenever he wants it, says agua, but realy wants juice...
Luca is getting big and it really surprised me at the park yesterday, when he signed all done and pointed to the car, signed and said car and started walking over. Luca loves the riverwalk and is fascinated by the water and cried very hard when we left yesterday. We came home and went for a walk around the block. Luca and Sophie found a small dog behind a fence that they could pet and didn't want to leave her. Luca got in and out of the wagon every 10 feet and tried to jump with a stick like Sophie. Then he found puddles of water by the curb and walked back and forth for another 10 minutes. We came home at 2pm and he still didn't want to take a nap. Poor guy wanted to read with Sophie in our bed, but Sophie didn't want to and Luca was getting upset with her.

Oh, that phase is so hard! We just left it with Matt and I don't look forward to it with Nolan (it appears it isn't very far away...)
Good luck getting through the "twos!"
