Our trip to the last frontier, Alaska

Day 1



We left Denver at 10pm and arrived in to Anchorage at 1:30am (Alaskan time) and headed to the hotel to meet my sisters, who called to tell us they were waiting for us in the lobby of the hotel. Luca and Sophie were rock stars on the flight and slept the entire way in our arms and laps. The next day, we, that being my mom, husband and children, along with sisters Brooke and Brittany (+dog, Saddie) headed down the Kenai Peninsula. Leaving Anchorage we had an amazing view of the water at low tide. The mountains were beautiful and reminded of Costa Rican mountains, I believe they are both volcanic and look much different than the Rockies.

Brooke, my sister, took the last picture of Luca and she got a kick out of it b/c she said Luca had the same expression as the bear! Poor Luca.
