Happenings

I knew it was too good to be true, but Luca lasted until 9 1/2 months before he discovered he could take off his hearing aids. I hadn't even put the safety lock on because he doesn't really put things in his mouth too much. Now he's into putting his hands up in the air, he discovered his ears and his hearing aid. Safety locks went on this morning and we might have to start putting on the pilot caps more now. As Luca discovers his aids, he also learned how to put the "puff" snacks in his mouth and is sometimes successful in letting go of them. If he's unable to let go of the puff snack while his little fingers are in his mouth, he starts crying out of frustration. He still prefers being fed like a little bird, but he's so cute we're just enjoying each stage.

Sophie is growing more and more and today she actually found Luca's hearing aid at dance class on the floor and gave it to me right away. I didn't notice it was missing. This is the same girl who in the morning took Luca's hearing aid that was placed on the counter and crept into her bedroom. Two year olds, one minute they do one thing and then later the complete opposite. Sophie is having a lot of fun with Luca and tonight he was in his crib settling down and she went in there and was making him laugh and just being silly. It's nice that Sophie is getting along with Luca, sometimes she is an attention seeker and will do things to Luca to get a reaction from me.
