So to vary up the content on my blog, I thought I'd post this little story my sister found about a hunting trip gone bad.
My sister, Brittany, emailed me this tid bit... "Here is a story about four hunters and military dudes who went up to the same area I went on the caribou hunting trip. They went last year and ended up shooting three caribou, but didn't realize the work involved in packing it out so they came up with the bright idea of going back to camp and driving their trucks out to pick up the meat. Needless to say, the effort was a disaster and got huge media coverage in the state - every Alaskan thought they were total morons. The feds refused to release their names for a long time, but last week they did and one hunter decided to talk to the newspaper about what had happened. The ordeal - and their efforts to get the trucks out of the frozen tundra - sounds like an absolute nightmare (and an expensive one at that)." Check out the hunting story.
It takes a town to raise a child (and bike paths, front porches, sidewalks and a local corner store.)
