Today was a hot summer's day in Pueblo. In the evening, we went out to dinner, our first time as a family with Luca to a pizza joint downtown. Sophie is getting easier to take out and she did quite well. Right next to our table was a girl and Sophie, who is really into asking other little kids "What's your name?", promptly went up to her and struck up a conversation. Now, it's baby #2 who is harder to take out to eat and Sergio spent most of the time walking around with him.
Afterwards, the fam went to City Park and Sophie was so happy to go on the rides. We hooked up with another doctor's family who we knew and Sophie rode on the cars with their little four year old, Olivia. As soon as they got off, Olivia asked me if she could ride again with Sophie. Sure!
Luca is getting so much bigger and will be 8 weeks on Tuesday. He likes to be held most of the time and sleeps best when held. He is our senstive baby, who sleeps in short spurts and doesn't like to be set down, even when awake. Today we had a break though, and I was actually able to put on the sheets while he woke up from a nap and kicked happily in the bassinet. He smiles most at his sister Sophie.
Oh, by the way, Sophie was washing the walls because she colored on them!
