Afternoon with Gracie

Today Sophie and I spent the afternoon with Liz and Gracie (local Pueblians socialites) and got the low down on Pueblo. While searching for the just right piñata for Sophie's birthday at Buena Ventura and Maria Flores, Liz showed us where to find the best Dutch Lunches and more great Italian Delis. On impluse, we picked up a Dutch Lunch and some great churros, which Sergio later said tasted just like ones back home at Manolos. While in route for Sophie's piñata, we also toured Salt City and I drove through the cemetery, which I am trying to convince Liz would be a great place to walk because it is shaded. Also, how cool to see Pueblo's history revealed on the tombstones and family crypts.

After our busy afternoon, we came home and ate our Dutch Lunch and the kids hopped in the pool. Sophie, as you can see by the pics, literally jumped in the pool with all her clothes on. Hmmm... mommy stepped inside for a moment and under the watchful eye of Papi, she saw her chance. Gracie showed Sophie how to upgrade her swimming pool by adding a slide and even showed her how fun it is to go down it. Needless to say, everyone had a blast.
